Hayrenaser visited the family of fallen hero SARGIS KHALAFYAN and delivered our donors’ gratitude and $500 in donations.
During our visit we met the hero’s wife, sister, son. They reminisced that Sargis was their family’s pride and peacemaker. He was one who always helped the relatives. The sister told a story about the first Artsakh war, how they were informed that Sargis had been killed. For several days they searched for his body, but could not find it. Then Sargis had showed on his own, but wounded. This time, too, he rushed to Artsakh without hesitating. The wife couldn’t even fetch Sargis’ military boots fast enough for him. He even could not wait to say goodbye to his son. His other son, who serves in the army, will return him in 2 months. He had the ability to free his sons from military service, but a patriot like him would never allow such a thing.
